'The Life and Strange Surprising Adventure of Robinson Crusoe' was written by Daniel Defoe, an English author. This novel, which is based one the real Scottish castaway, Alexander Selkirk, was well-received as one of the pioneer of realistic novel in English literature and published in 25th April 1719.
It tells about a man named Robinson Crusoe who was marooned in an isolated tropical island after the ship he was on got shipwrecked. He spent 28 years there and met many unusual stuff like cannibal tribes, mutineer etc.
